Juniors & Caddies arrived at Hermanus Golf Club at the crack of dawn on Sunday the 11th April to start preparing for the big day. Thirty six challenging holes lay ahead and a title of 2010 Junior and 2010 Caddie Champion.
Play from the championship tees is always a challenge even with the course in pristine condition but as the saying goes “When the going gets tough, the tough gets going” and brilliant golf was played.
The fifteen year old Club Champion, Michael Steyn, improved on his score and closed with a gross score of 146 (72, 74) to become the 2010 Junior champion . Jurie Jan Swart was the runner up and Robert Davis in third place. Exceptional play was displayed by the caddies too with Stanley May , last years winner, closing in second place and Norman Swarts, the 2010 winner with a gross score of 157 (80, 77). Both Norman and Stanley strive to be part of this years Boland caddie team that will participate in the Interprovincial caddie tournament.
